A student’s absence or anticipated lateness must be reported to the Health Office or Main Office no later than 8:00 a.m. by calling 518-283-2500. You may call anytime to leave a message.

Returning to School Following a COVID-19 Diagnosis

You have no fever for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications

Face masks should be well-fitting, disposable, non-woven masks.
Medication in School
Students should not transport or carry medications with them in school. This includes both prescription and non-prescription medications. A parent or guardian must bring in medication, which will be kept secure in the Health Office. A doctor’s order and a parent’s written permission are required for medication administration in school.
Immunization Requirements
- All 6th grade students must submit proof of one TDap vaccine when they turn 11 years of age.
- All 7th grade students must submit proof of the Meningococcal vaccine prior to starting 7th grade.
- All 12th grade students must submit proof of their second Meningococcal vaccine prior to starting 12th grade.
Injuries
If your child is injured and unable to participate in physical education class and/or sports, a note from a physician must be submitted to the Health Office. The note should indicate the reason, time restrictions and limitations. A release note from a physician must be provided to the Health Office once your child is approved to resume activity.

Student Athletes
All students need to be approved/cleared to play school sports by the School Nurse prior to tryouts. Paperwork for Student Athletes must be uploaded in FamilyID by the first day of try outs/practices. Physicals must be dated within one year of the start of the sports season.
All Student Athletes must be registered in FamilyID and have a physical uploaded to their profile.
Concussion Information
Any student athlete who is believed to have sustained a concussion must be immediately removed from all athletic activities. They cannot participate in athletic activity until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours, have been evaluated by a licensed physician, and have provided a doctor’s note to the Health Office.
Upon reciving medical clearance from your child’s physician, your son/daughter will then be referred to the Athletic Trainer to follow the NYS Return to Play Protocol.
