La Salle Institute is seeking a middle school (6-8) counselor who will be tasked with providing both academic and behavioral support to students, as well as short-term social & emotional support. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in education, guidance, social work or school counseling. A master’s degree is preferred. Previous experience as a guidance counselor is preferred but not required.
The ideal candidate should have the ability to work in a team environment, have exceptional communication skills and showcase a passion for working with middle school students. Finally, the candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the Lasallian mission and be able to successfully work with teachers, parents and administrators in order to help students find success both in and out of the classroom.
