TEST Athletics

La Salle Institute is proud of its historic and competitive athletic programs. Sports listed as Varsity (V) only are open to students at all grade levels 7-12. Although it will take time to field all of our women’s teams, we will be phasing in different sport teams over time and at every level depending on female student enrollment and interest.

Welcome to La Salle Institute's Athletic Department

La Salle Institute currently offers 17 programs with a total of 31 teams, competing with member schools of Section 2 of the NYSPHSAA. In September of 2021, La Salle began to phase in female sports with the possibility of having additional teams competing at every level as soon as reasonably possible.

Our school has created a rich tradition of developing student athletes into leaders on and off the playing field. La Salle’s athletic program is committed to a quality experience, highlighted by commitment, hard work, pride and teamwork.
Our coaching staff and student athletes take pride in La Salle's mission and the importance of leading as moral, responsible and productive members of their communities with a commitment to truth, honor and duty. We encourage students to push themselves beyond known boundaries, regardless of knowledge or ability. The importance of integrity, sportsmanship and sacrifice in a competitive environment are at the core of our program.
Our coaching staff and student athletes take pride in La Salle's mission and the importance of leading as moral, responsible and productive members of their communities with a commitment to truth, honor and duty. The Athletic Department incorporates Christian values in their teaching and coaching philosophies to develop players who put their faith first in all that they do.
